The prevention of natural and technological risks constitutes an important concern for many of elected officials and civil servants of local authorities in Europe. To answer to their preoccupations in the field of education and information, the consortium RINATECH, composed of universities, engineering and design departments, first-aid organizations, organizations representative of elected officials of communes, and pertaining to various countries (Italy, Spain, Poland, Germany, France, Belgium) proposes, within the framework of the European program Leonardo da Vinci, publications on Internet of modules of initiation on ten main risks (in a first time). These modules, introduced by a typological presentation, are accompanied by grids for risks evaluation, by lexicons, case studies and bibliographies. Documentary portals return for the main risks and other linked problems to specialized Internet sites. Addressing preferentially elected officials and civil servants of small communes, these training modules are short and conceived to be accessible to those which have or do not have initial knowledge on the subject (direct access to various levels of knowledge are allowed). These modules are published on the Internet in French, English, German, Italian, Spanish and Polish.
